Your Babyliss guarantee

If, despite all of the care that we took in the design and manufacture of your device, a failure or malfunction occurs during the warranty period, BABYLISS LLC undertakes via your reseller to replace your product as soon as possible, if the failure is proven.
In case of problems arising during use, we recommend that you first to consult the operating instructions and check that your product is properly plugged in, charged if necessary (rechargeable products).

  • Terms and conditions of implementation of the BaByliss guarantee

    The warranty cannot be presented directly to BaByliss; only the reseller is responsible for the implementation of the guarantee.

    Your device should not be sent to the after-sales service offices to be repaired, there are no repair spare parts for BaByliss products.

    Throughout the guarentee period, the exchange with a BaByliss product that is new, identical or of equivalent value, will be done by the reseller after checking the failure and the validity of the warranty. You simply go to the store where you made your purchase and present your malfunctioning product and your proof of purchase, or contact the online site where you made your purchase. No fees will be asked of you.

    No refund by BABYLISS LLC will be made during this period.

    BaByliss guarantees the product :

    • bought from a reseller

    • on presentation of the original invoice or the original receipt with the reseller's name, date of purchase, and the reference of the device.

    The warranty begins on the product purchase date from a reseller, such as indicated on the proof of purchase and ends according to the warranty period specified in the table below.

    To know the exact warranty period of your product, please consult the warranty card supplied with your product. The warranty covers any defects in materials and workmanship but only applies under certain conditions. Specifically :

    • The appliance must have been used exclusively and for its intended purpose, such as indicated in the instructions for use and for non-professional use.

    • The warranty excludes damage resulting from improper use, from a fall, dismantling, repair or modification carried out by persons not authorised by BaByliss, negligence, use of an incorrect voltage or use with unsuitable accessories or consumables.

    • The accessories and consumables are not covered by this warranty.

    • The warranty does not apply to damage caused by a natural disaster such as fire or water damage.

    This BaByliss warranty is in addition to the legal warranty of compliance as mentioned in articles L. 217-4 to L. 217-14 of the Consumer Code and that relating to the defects of a thing sold, pursuant to the terms in articles 1641 to 1649 of the Civil Code.

    Excerpts from the Consumer Code

    Art. L. 217-4. "The seller must deliver goods in accordance with the contract and is liable for any lack of conformity found at the time of delivery. It is also liable for any lack of conformity resulting from the packaging, installation or assembly instructions when this is part of its responsibility as per the contract, or has been performed under its responsibility."

    Art. L. 217-12. "The action resulting from a lack of conformity shall lapse two years after the delivery of the good".

    Art. L. 217-5. The good is in accordance with the contract :
    1. If it is specific to the use normally expected of a similar good and, if applicable :
    - if it fits the description given by the seller and has the qualities that the seller has presented to the buyer in the form of a sample or model;
    - if it has the qualities that a buyer can legitimately expect in view of the public statements made by the seller, the manufacturer or its representative, particularly in advertising or labelling;
    2. Or if it has the features defined by the parties by mutual agreement or serves a specific purpose sought by the buyer, brought to the seller's knowledge which the latter has accepted.

    Your device does not have to be sent to the after-sale services offices to be repaired, there are no repair spare parts for BaByliss products. However, you can obtain the various accessories and consumables essential for the use of the product for a period of at least 5 years from the date of purchase.
